-  Ans.  Won the NL MVP again in 1981 after having won it the 1st time in 1980.  The 1981 vote was just 3 shy of being unanimous again, a double feat never yet accomplished.

-  #1  On 17-Apr-1976, Schmidt went deep off Rick Reuschel in the 5th, 7th innings then off Paul Reuschel in the 10th.

-  #2  On 17-Apr-1976, he homered in the 5th, 7th, 8th & 10th innings.  NL’ers Bobby Lowe and Scooter Gennett did it in the 19th and 21st centuries respectively.

-  #1  Carter was a very distant 2nd in MVP votes in 1980 behind the unanimous Mike Schmidt.  Then, in 1986, when Carter finished 3rd, the MVP was again Schmidt.
