-  Ans.  Won CYA in 1967 for SFG, beating out 2 HOF pitchers.  Played for WSA in 1965 & 1966.

-  #1  Pitched for NYG in 1956 & 1957. & NYY in 1970

-  #2  Played in 2 ASG in 1960(1) & 1961(1), but was also a member of the NL AS teams 1960(2) & 1961(2).  He might not have been used in the 2nd G in 1961 because he had surrendered a HR to Harmon Killebrew in that year’s 1st ASG earlier that month.

-  #3  McCormick impressed with his steadiness in 1967, winning 11 G before & after the 1967 ASG, for an MLB-leading 22 W.  The Giants won an additional 5 G he started that year, but still finished 2nd, 10.5 G behind STL for the NL flag.  He also might not have made the NL AS team because it was already packed with 14 future HOF players, including 5 pitchers.

-  Ans.  Sutter’s role of being used uniquely in relief, instantly recognizable today, was a considered novel & even risky when he played.
